Performing Arts

The Performing Arts of Music and Drama play a very important role in the life of Beaufort Cooperative Academy. Our Performing Arts Centre provides outstanding facilities for these subjects, including a theatre space, a computerised recording studio and electronic music studios.

All students study performing arts at Key Stage 3, with Music and Drama being very popular options at GCSE, BTEC and A level. The strength of music in the curriculum supports an extensive range of extracurricular activities and individual tuition.

The Academy choirs have a strong reputation and have participated in a wide range of events including the G15 concert and Christmas Carols at Gloucester Cathedral and the Cheltenham Festival of Music. There are annual public performances in drama and music through show cases.
